Services for Young Night Drifters
Service Objectives
We adopt an integrative and a multi-level social work approach to meet our youth's multifarious needs. We strive to:
- Enhance the problem solving ability of young people.
- Enable children and youth in dealing with their difficulties and stress.
- Provide on-the-spot crisis intervention, including escorting young people back to their home or temporary shelters.
- Provide short-term intervention, including counselling, welfare referrals and escorting young people to agencies concerned.
Service Contents
Our social workers use different strategies to assist our clients to meet their needs and cope with their problems. Services provided include:
- Face-to-face interview with youths and their families; making referrals if appropriate.
- Interest classes, groups and activities.
- Provide useful information.
- Drop-in service and escort service.
Service Targets
Youth aged 6 to 24 who loiter or drift outside home at late night.
Service Application
- Service users can contact our social workers for enquiry and make applications.
- We also accept referrals from other agencies.
- No application is required for clients identified by our social workers.
Service Termination
Service users can approach our social workers for discussion of the termination of service.
